Hello again, this is Harold Finch. I'm seeking volunteers for a little project-- Mr. Veidt, Mr. Holmes, and myself want to place some gravity monitoring devices through as much of the immediate city as we can reach. Ready hands and feet would be helpful in this task, as there's quite a lot of ground to cover.

Yes, 'shocking' is certainly an apt word for all of this. It all feels rather like something out of Asimov-- that is to say, fiction on my planet that speculates about the future, and about inter-planetary travel, and so forth.

Erm. Are you and Mr. Kenobi.... I'm sorry if this is rude, are the two of you-- human? Humanoid? Bipedal, two arms, central nervous organ at the top of the body?

Oh. No, not a rude question. We're human, though we have... uh... through our connection to our faith we have access to abilities of the body, mind, and spirit that are uncommon in the galaxy, among humans and nonhumans alike.

I wouldn't be selfconscious about your world, Mr. Finch. I'm from a pretty backwater planet myself, though one--well, barely--connected to the rest of the galaxy when it comes to interplanetary travel.

Oh, really, you practice a religion? I'd love to hear more about it sometime if it's not being too intrusive.

I'm not self- Well. We're something of a spectrum, aren't we-- some of us from... places that assume a multiplicity of planets, and some of us from before, oh, mechanized flight or the like. I don't suppose the respective 'age' of one's culture is anything more to be self-conscious of than one's own age, really. I'm only trying not to commit some gaffe of ignorance, so thank you for bearing with me, the both of you.

You mentioned non-humans, that's something I'll need to organize my thoughts on a bit better before I ask about it though I certainly will have questions if you don't mind indulging me.

May I ask what sort of abilities your faith grants?

We experience a connection to the cosmic and living Force that pervades our cosmos and existence. In tangible terms this grants us a heightened relationship with other creatures that you might refer to as telepathy, and an attunedness with the physical world that you might call telekinesis.

I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have. I understand that all of this is new.

That's quite impressive, Mr. Skywalker. Those sort of abilities are entirely unknown in my world, or whatever term we're using. Would it be improper to ask you for a demonstration at some point? I don't mean to imply that I doubt you, merely that I would really be quite excited to see such a thing for myself.
